Quick facts
- Larger walls and more cabinetry require more material
- Drawers and closed storage add hardware and fabrication time
- Marble-look and fluted feature panels change material requirements
- Lighting is optional and should be priced only when requested
Why a picture alone is not enough to price
Reference images are useful for style, but two rooms can require very different quantities of material. A design that spans nine feet, for example, cannot be priced accurately from an image that was built for a much larger or smaller wall.
What to include in your request
Send the wall width and height, TV size, location, photographs and the reference design. Mention whether you want closed cabinets, floating shelves, open display areas, lighting or no lighting, and any particular finish.
What can change after site verification
Uneven walls, hidden electrical work, skirting, existing moulding, floor level differences and obstacles may affect installation. If preparation or electrical relocation is outside the quoted carpentry scope, it should be identified separately.
How to control the budget
Prioritize the part of the design you value most. Reducing the number of drawers, simplifying the panel arrangement or using fewer finish types can lower complexity while keeping the main visual idea.
Frequently asked questions
Is LED lighting included automatically?
No. Lighting should be included only if requested and stated in the quotation.
Can I get an estimate before a site visit?
Yes, if you provide useful measurements and photos. Final dimensions and site conditions should be verified before fabrication.
Does TV size affect the price?
Indirectly. The TV size affects the proportions of the feature area and may change the overall layout.
